When the world came to a stop, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses had to quickly figure out how to continue safely. Sumner & Sumner, Inc., a World Company, recently made the decision to close their physical office, and have their employees permanently work from home. This decision has resulted in a charitable donation of their office to help victims of domestic violence in Willimantic, Connecticut.
Sumner & Sumner, Inc cares about giving back to their community in hopes to contribute to those who are less fortunate than we are. Safe Futures is an organization Sumner & Sumner highly respects for the work that they continue to do every day. Sumner & Sumner’s participation in providing Safe Futures with a location for victims of domestic abuse is a way of paying their success forward.
Sumner & Sumner has joined forces with Safe Futures, a non-profit organization that shelters victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and trafficking in southeastern Connecticut.
“We could not be prouder to partner with this wonderful organization and be part of the work they are doing. We hope this helps Safe Futures in their development of The Center for Safe Futures which offers assistance to families subjected to domestic violence in Eastern Connecticut”.
The building that Sumner & Sumner has given to Safe Futures, will provide a new integrated facility that will bring every agency that has helped domestic violence victims come under one roof. Police, prosecutors’ offices, childcare services, counselors, job training programs, and more will share space at this building to bolster collaboration and make it easier for victims to access the help they need.
It's very important to Sumner & Sumner to continue their charitable efforts in order to help women and families that are in need. This agency has chosen a wonderful organization and hopes this contribution will help in the amazing work that Safe Futures is doing.
